Raima will be exhibiting at this year's RTECC 2010 Santa Clara on January 26th. In addition to exhibiting Raima representatives will be presenting their unique RDMe dataFlow engine at one of the breakout sessions. This unique dataflow engine enables real-time movement of information from the smallest devices up to the largest enterprise databases.
Raima, a Birdstep Technology Company (OSE: BIRD), which offers state-of-the-art embedded database technologies will be presenting and exhibiting at this years RTECC show in Santa Clara, CA on January 26th. Scott Meder and John Pai of Raima will be giving a presentation, including a live demo, on Raima's RDMe dataFlow engine. The presentation titled, Real-time Data Collection and Dataflow Using Embedded Database Technology, will begin at 2:30pm.
Raima recognizes that today's embedded system developers continue to face the difficult problem of efficiently storing and managing large amounts of data on resource-constrained devices. These single computer resource constraint devices range anything from sensors and robots on the shop floor to flight data systems deployed on fighter jets. Adding to this problem is the growing need of business intelligence and enterprise systems to gain access to the data now captured and stored on these devices. More often these days the requirement is to access data in real-time or near real-time.
In their presentation Scott and John will demonstrate how the RDMe dataFlow is used to move data from one device to aggregation points, business intelligence systems and/or distributing the data to additional devices. ""What is really exciting is RDMe dataFlow engine's ability to not only move data between instances of RDM Embedded and RDM Server but also its unique ability to move data to other non Raima database systems technologies like Oracle, Microsoft, MySQL, Sybase and the like."" ""As a result, Raima provides a wholistic solution to the problem of data availability from the smallest devices to the largest enterprise solution,"" commented Duncan Bates, V.P. Product Management.
About The Raima Database Manager Family
Raima released the first version of the Raima embedded database in 1984. Since then the family has grown into three successful embedded database products. RDM Embedded pioneered the embedded market space under the name dbVista. Building on the success of RDM Embedded, Raima released the product in a client/server configuration under the name Velocis, now called RDM Server. Please find free SDK downloads of the RDM Products at www.raima.com/downloads.
Raima, a wholly owned subsidiary of Birdstep Technology ASA, is a leading provider of high-performance, real-time, always on, embedded databases for both in-memory database usage and persistent storage devices. Raima Database Managers are found in everything from low cost real-time applications to high performance, high-availability application. With over 20 000 developers enjoying the flexibility of these COTS databases, the products are currently successfully deployed in over 25 million systems.
